On July 2nd I woke up around 10am having super light contractions about 7 minutes apart. By 12 they were about 5 minutes apart but they were soo light I was in denial I couldn’t believe I was really in labor lol. So I took my dog on a walk just around the block & then called my mom when I got home she told me to call L&D to see what they say so I called around 1pm & they told me to come in in an hour if it’s still consistent. So my partner gets home from work & I’m like I think I’m in labor & he starts panicking lol & I’m like no we’re not leaving yet I’m going to take a shower by this time my contractions are 3 minutes apart & he’s like your crazy 🤣 so I get dressed my mom comes from work early & we leave for the hospital. we get there about 2:30pm they’re monitoring me for about 2 hours by then they had started getting intense but since I was only 2cm dilated they sent me home 🙄 so we went to get some food cause I knew this baby was coming that night! People at the restaurant were looking at me crazy asking “is she in labor?” Haha so we get home about 6pm I’m laying down trying to get as much sleep as I can before delivery but by this time I’m in soo much pain I didn’t get any sleep lol I was crying on my hands & knees on my bed screaming with each contraction but I didn’t want to go back until my water broke. Around 11pm Im laying down & feel a *pop* & a gush my water breaks YAY time to get to the hospital. I get there & they do a couple of test to see if my water broke & they kept coming back negative & they were taking FOREVER by 1am I was in soo much pain & PISSED screaming through my contractions crying begging for some pain meds. They wouldnt give them to me because “my water didn’t break yet” my contractions are 2 minutes apart & they were about to send me home again! The only reason they didn’t was because my sons heart rate kept dropping. By 3am I’m 5cm dilated. they get me in a room & finally get ready to give me the epidural (which I went my whole pregnancy planning to go natural lol F that) & 15 20 30 minutes go past & it’s not working 😭 It took about an hour & a half to start working & even then I still had some feeling & control of my legs at 4:30am I’m 10cm dilated time to push! The doctors wanted to take things slow because every time I pushed my baby’s heart rate dropped so I was only pushing every couple contractions they warned they might have to use a vacuum. a while goes by I’m pretty relaxed because my epidural finally kicked in & I couldn’t feel a thing! I’m pushing I get another gush of fluid exactly the same as earlier & I asked what is that & they tell me “ oh your water broke” 🙄🙄 Then all of a sudden they’re like PUSH PUSH PUSH! this baby needs to come out NOW!! They’re running around like ants & I’m just pushing as hard as I can the doctors pulling on the vacuum string as hard as she can & it pops off his head & I see blood I got so scared but they tell me i tore & the blood is from me not him so I keep pushing & then all of a sudden they throw this beautiful tiny human on my chest & he starts screaming & it was the best feeling I’ve ever felt in my entire life.. ❤️ I guess they started panicking for me to push because his heart stopped😭 soo scary to think about.. I tore in 2 places but I only had to get 3 stitches
