I recently had my daughter and my husbands talking about trying again soon and honestly I’m ready for it. I’d like to have my babies as close together as I can. I just want to be safe.

My doctor recommended one year. Just learned that you can have an ectopic pregnancy that settled into your csection scar which can be dangerous for you.

They say at least 18 months but I had my son 3 months ago and I’m already wanting to be pregnant again. I plan to wait until he’s a year to start trying again though!

Why in the world would you try to get pregnant again 6w after giving birth?? Your body takes time to heal no matter if the birth was vaginally or by c-section. Besides you are just now becoming a parent and it’s easy those first 4m... then it just gets harder. You still will go through regression, teething, growth spurts, sicknesses, and much more. Besides that, that little one deserves your full attention and when you are pregnant with your second it is 100x harder because you can’t just sleep when you are beyond tired, you still have to function and take care of another human being no matter how crappy you feel, you have to push past the uncomfortable aches and pains because your child is in tears and the only cure is mom hold them. I got pregnant 10m pp (it was very much unplanned) and despite how easy this pregnancy has been, it is 100x harder than my first and I can’t imagine how much harder it would have been if it happened sooner when my son was doing most of his teething (lots and lots of sleepless nights)
