Does anyone know how the embryologist selects the best embryo in a frozen transfer?

Do they good off of the initial grading before they were frozen? Or do they look at them again before the transfer? I will ask at my transfer but just curious

I know each embryo gets a grade, the first letter is the quality of the embryo itself and the second letter is the quality of the placenta. Ideally you want AA or AB, but I don’t have any idea what criteria they use to determine the grades themselves.

My RE told me that they look at grading (AA and AB are very similar) and that they prefer to transfer a 5 day blast before a 6 day blast. We have a 6 day AA but we are transferring a 5 day AB first ☺️
