Spouts on cups/sippy cups
So I’m a first time mom here and had a question/concern about sippy cups. Does the spout on the cups really matter for their teeth development and speech. I have heard that dentist and speech therapist don’t recommend the hard spout cups, their recommendation is either straw, open cup or 360. My daughter has all kinds of different cups and was wondering if it matters which one she uses. She is almost 10 months and has been using a straw cups since 6 months and about a month ago we started working on open cup, I have the take n toss cups, the nuk (soft spout) learner cup and she also has a few 360 cups, she can use all of these besides the 360, for some reason she can’t figure out that one. It’s funny how some babies get certain cups right away and then other cups they can’t figure out. I first started her on the nuk cups but she wasn’t getting the tipping concept so I switched her to a weighted straw cup, she took to the straw cup the first day I gave it to her so I stuck with those for a while. Switching back and forth from those to the nuk cups, now she understands the tipping concept but I think with the soft spout she chewed on it a lot so she didn’t fully rely on the sucking aspect, now if I give her a hard spout cup she has no idea that she has to suck to get water 🤦♀️ now as I’m typing this and she’s attempting to figure out the 360 cup I’m seeing she’s getting water Lol. So my question is..what cups should I stick with for her mouth development or does it really matter?
