Sit me up chair or exercauser?

Whats the difference between a fisher price sit me up chair and buying an activity center/exercauser? I want the sit me up chair to help him sit up but I feel like if I just wait and get an exercauser instead it will be worth the money. Seems like the sit me up will only last a couple months until he can sit up on his own. What do you moms prefer? My son will be 2 months next week and is starting to want to sit up.

Do a little reading on the potential harms exasaucers (and similar gadgets) can do to back and hip development. It’s recommended to limit use to 15 min a day and I couldn’t justify the cost or space it would take up for such limited use. Because the sit me up allows their legs and bottom to be on a level surface it’s supposed to be better for development.

Honestly I had both I went to Burlington and found the sit me up for 20$ and bought the exersaucer  used I just cleaned it real good before letting him use it I spent a total of 60$ on both items

I had them both. We used the seat when he was younger (when he had good neck control) and then graduated to the activity center when he was a bit older.
