Son and preschool concerns
My sons been at a preschool for about 2 months he's 3 a will be 4 in December. Initially he was in the oldest class which is 4 and some 5 year olds with late birthdays. He's tall for his age and has great vocabulary so I think that's why they initially put him in this room. Last week we were told he poked anther boy in the eye... When I asked him about it he said the other boy was being mean to him and had punched him first. .. This other boy is 4.5.
We had a talk with him of course about telling an adult when that happens, but also telling the other kid to stop. We want him to stand up for himself.
Thurs and Friday my son was out sick. Today we get to school and he was moved into then3 year old room. The teacher said she feels he will do better bc it's a smaller class and she knows he was having problems with some of the older boys.
I don't disagree with it but I just wish she would ha e discussed it with us first. I don't know if I should address this or not with the teachers? We are actually moving in a month so I'm not sure it's worth it or should we just see how he does ?
