When is the startle reflex going to disappear ?!?@?

My LO is 7 weeks old and her startle reflex is still so terrible.. she jumps so hard when shes sleeping kinda goes we jump when we have a dream we're falling lol... but she is constantly waking herself up because of it then is soooo fussy cause shes tired. Is anyone else's LO still doing this ? I dont remember my other twos ever lasting so long

Yep, mine will be 7w Saturday. He still is constantly throwing his hands in the air. I don’t swaddle him during the day for naps so he’s constantly waking himself up

I know with my son I swaddled him until 4 months so that’s around the time it went away

Swaddling makes it so they can’t jerk around and wake themselves up.

Yep! My girl is 7 weeks today and just a little no ago, she woke herself up at least 3 times because of it! I have a 2 1/2 year old, and unfortunately I don’t recall when it went away... hopefully soon!
