SAHM or work??

Question

I have a 5 month old and currently work two days a week while staying home the rest. Some days I miss her like crazy and want to be a full time stay at home mom and other days I want to finish my degree and work full time. I can’t make up my mind but feel either stressed, lazy, and uneducated  while home or guilty and sad while at work. I’m afraid when my kids grow up and move out I won’t have anything for myself and won’t enjoy going back to work. How did you decide if you would stay home or work full time?

I didn’t pay $30,000 for a college education to stay home. It was pretty much as simple as that for me. And the fact that I make more than half of the income in my house so we couldn’t afford our mortgage otherwise.

I can't make up my mind. I wanted to stay home but when I did I was dying to get out of the house. Then I started working again now I miss my LO so much! I only work 3 1/2 days a week so I still have plenty of time with my LO. It's works out for me, even though I still miss my LO while I'm at work.

I get it. It is a completely personal decision. We are still TTC but our plan is actually SAHD.
I spent 90k on college and have a career where my husband started college but never finished due to the program being cancelled.
I grew up with just my mom and never had a parent around so it is really important to me that our future children have a stay at home parent.

I’ve worked part time since having my kid almost two years ago. I personally couldn’t do stay at home or job full time. I like contributing monetarily and getting out of the house, but I like being home and hanging with the kid as she grows. Once we are done having kids and they’re all in school  I might transition back to full time.
