Sharing just because it made me laugh

In light of my previous post, I wanted to share a silly family name.

Husband and I are ttc baby #1 (eeek! 😍) and we've had names picked out for a long time for our sweet little one that will hopefully be a reality when I start testing again this month. July wasn't our month but I feel good about August. I know the boy name I picked everybody outside of our friends and family dislikes, and that's putting it mildly lol. Or someone will at least have something to say about it. But honestly it's not a big deal. It's a Hebrew biblical name just like a bunch of other baby names that are being used and all that matters is that my husband and I love it.

This inspired a chat with my mom about weird names in our family. And not only do I have a great grandma Bozena (this is what we will name our baby if we have a girl. My great grandma was originally from Czechoslovakia) but I also have a great grandma named Ferba Isabelle. And she went by Ferbie. Super cute but did make us laugh and I can just imagine if I said I wanted to pick that name I would get major flack for naming my kid something that sounds like Furby 😅

Ferba also went by Belle. Which is making me consider the name Bozena Belle so that each great grandmother gets a little spotlight through the baby we are hoping and praying so hard for.

Names are fun and silly and a little weird sometimes. And that's okay. Give your babies a name that speaks to you and encourage them to wear that name with pride. Being a momma is tough enough, don't stress about doubting the name you love if it's what you really want to give your child. All you ladies, and your partners, got this. Enjoy every part of the journey, including naming your babies 💖
