Endometriosis or bad periods?

💛🦋

Sorry, it’s long! But if you have the time I would appreciate if you left your opinion or suggestions!

I’m 22 and started having my period around the age of 10.

When I was around 12-13 I would get really bad period pain and I couldn’t imagine having a period without a heating pad as I grew older the pain subsided a bit and seemed to be “normal” cramping.

About two years ago I started getting extremely heavy periods... I bleed through a super tampon every 30 mins or so for about 4-5 hours. Around this time I started to get really bad vertigo and was sent to a physiotherapist who helped it go away! Shortly after the heavy periods I started noticing that my periods were lasting for longer amounts of time (about 7days on average) and the bad pains I got when I was 12-13 came back.

A few periods later I started noticing that my periods were constantly really heavy (bleeding through super tampons every 30 mins), super painful, and I was having large clots (about 2 inches), along with constant nausea, full body pains, intense bloating, painful bowel movements, constant fatigue, and constipation that all got worse around the time of my period. So, I went to my doctor but they told me they will not check for endometriosis and just gave me birth control.. I took the birth control for a bit but it made me have intense mood swings and my vertigo came back so I quit taking it.

Anyways, after countless doctors trips they found that I was low on ferritin and I was put on iron supplements! But I was still not feeling better and since my biggest symptom was nausea they suspected I had issues with my gallbladder! They sent me for a hida scan which checked the function of my gallbladder and the seen that it was border line abnormal so they chose to remove it. I assumed that this would help with all my issues.. but I was wrong.

After surgery I can say that the removal of my gallbladder did help with the severe nausea but during my period I still get small bouts of nausea!

The surgery also made me realize how much pain I feel during my period since I now have something compare it to! Which I can easily say my period pain is just as bad if not worse than post surgery pain.

I was curious for opinions on if I should try and return to my doctor? And try and get them to test me for endometriosis or if I should just continue to live with my periods?

Any opinion is appreciated! Thank you.
