In December I started hooking up with this guy I’ve known for a couple years. He’s my sisters friend and him and I are godparents to my niece. When I met him he had a girlfriend, but they broke it off in September .

We told each other that what we were doing was strictly hooking up, but then we started going out on dates. Then right before the New Years after we had been hooking up for a few weeks he tells me that his ex was five months pregnant with his baby. He told me that they weren’t together, and they had broken up shortly after finding out she was pregnant. He explained that he was just in her life for the baby, and that he had no plans to get back with her because she cheated.

We kept hooking up and going out until March. He admitted he had real feelings for me and so did I. But we both decided to put a hold on things for a while because he was expecting a baby soon, and it was complicated. Even after we stopped hooking up we’d talk every day all day, and talk about us. But once he had his baby that all stopped. I didnt take much offense to it because I knew he was busy.

Then we fell off completely . I didn’t hear from him until after a month and a half . Now it’s been almost three months and he started coming around again. By this I mean to family parties, over to my sisters house to visit my niece (which happens to be where I live too), but the thing is he’s back together with his ex. I’m not mad or jealous but I do feel a bit guilty.

Part of me feels like I need to tell her or that he needs to tell her about me. They’re always around and hiding the fact that I slept with her boyfriend feels like I’m lying . And I know that if it was me, I would want to know if my partner had been with someone while I was pregnant . But then it’s not my relationship so I know it’s most likely not my place to say anything .

I just feel fake being nice to her and friendly and all knowing what I did. I try to keep my distance and try not to interact with either of them already but they come around at least every weekend .

I really need advice.
