They say 5.5 weeks?

According to my last menstrual period I’m 7 weeks pregnant. But the two ultrasounds I’ve gotten, one last week and one yesterday, both say I’m about 5.5 - 6 weeks due to the tiny size of sac and embryo. Has anyone shared this experience? Does that mean something is wrong with the development of embryo?

Nothing should be wrong. You probably just ovulated later then the typical 2 week mark. The first few ultrasounds are the most accurate so I would base due date off those.

That’s normal because you don’t conceive on your period, you conceive when ovulation happens and then depends on implantation. It’s common.

Happened to me. I thought I was 7w3d. Ultrasound said I was 5w5d. When I went in for my first visit and told my doctor my last period she said “unofficially your 7 weeks but I bet you’re closer to 5” and she was right.
