yeast infection that won’t go away?

okay so- I thought I had a yeast infection because I’ve had them before, so I tried two different over the counter meds and they each helped a little (which they usually always make it go away fully) but I still felt off down there. So- I went to the doctor and she give me a 3 pill/6 day prescription of fluconazole- but now its day 7 and I’m still itchy and I have a kinda burning-i-need-to-pee feeling in my clit a lot.

When I went to the doctor she only took one glance at my vagina and said I had a yeast infection- I’m wondering if I have an STD and she didnt check throughly enough? Or do I trust the doctor and not worry about having an STD?

Also- do I just have to wait a few more days for the fluconazole to fully make symptoms go away? I feel like it was a little better when I was taking the pills but now it’s worse on day 7? Should I go back to the doctor?
