Does these mass shootings scare you ‘?

Is it just me or does anybody else get scared to go out into public now. Scared to walk out the house , to go to school , literally anywhere . It’s so much mass shooting going around I just don’t know how to protect myself.

Absolutely its terrifying. Last year, my daughter started pre k and I got 2 calls in the school year about a student bringing a weapon to school. Dont know what kind of weapon and it was at the middle school but the shut down all our town schools in lock down and had a message sent to every parent in the school district. I live in a very small town with about 2k students in the entire school district. Those calls were terrifying. And to know shootings happen at concerts, walmart, Every day places we go to. Its scary as hell, especially as a parent.

Terrifies me. They targeted Latinos last time. My boys will start school in a few years. Just everything scares me and I don’t see a solution anytime soon because people are hard headed and too selfish to care about the victims

Look, I know a lot of people are scared. But caving into a fear is not a way to live a good life. This country may have problems, but it's our duty to make our country a good and great place to live, regardless of the politics. Get educated about gun safety. Teach our kids to be compassionate and wise. Fear and hysteria create a culture that encourages violent people to commit violent crimes. Don't let our country or community be victim to the fears these violent people have tried to produce. If we give into these fears, their final goals are realized. Choose to respond with courage. Donate blood at a local blood drive. Teach your kids not to bully or to notice people that are angry and sad. Find a way to contribute and build. Create the community you want to live in. That's how we move forward and discourage future violence.

They worry me, but as far as true fear goes... I can’t remember a time in my life when there wasn’t something along similar lines to be afraid of. It’s kinda lost its punch, although logically, I know I should be more emotional about it. There’s just no more feeling left besides disappointment.

Yes. I don’t understand how anyone could be not afraid at this point. I am more afraid for my son than for myself.
