The pill

Ive been having trouble with the pill, I swear its causing me emotional melt downs, I statted taking primrose pil which helps, but its quite bad again when i dont get my period. I started taking it after a lonng break but started having sex without a condom after 5 days, is this bad? I should be on my period now but im not, i just have stomach cramps ...
