Tips to get detergent smell out of clothes?

I was gifted a truly amazing amount of baby clothes from friends with older kids, and I'm so grateful! However... They all smell strongly of scented detergent/fabric softener, which really bothers my nose. So far I've tried:
Washing in hot water with vinegar.
Washing with Oxy clean.
Both at the same time. 
They still smell... Not as strong, but still there. Any ideas?

The vodka totally worked! I added 2 cups to the wash and let them soak for an hour. There's the faintest hint of scent left, but it's soooo minor!

I know you said you washed them in vinegar, but I have gotten a moldy smell out of towels by doing a wash with a cup of vinegar, and then another wash with half a cup of baking soda!

Have you tried using baby detergent to wash them in? I had some blankets that I use for my dogs that reeked of dog bad and had to wash them. Regular detergent never took the smell out so I used baby detergent and it took the dog smell out. Maybe it could work for smell of regular detergent

Try letting them soak in the vinegar water for several hours or overnight before you wash them again. When we accidentally washed and dried 2 fish pills in a pocket, we were able to salvage most of the clothes that way.
