Doctors Appointment ? Yay or Nay??

Question

I am pregnant with my third baby. I just found out a few days ago and I'm debating if I should do those dr visits in the early trimester or can I just wait until I'm in the 2nd to even set an appointment? Or wait until I'm 20 weeks to set one? I've had no high risk pregnancies in my last two, and my recent baby just turned 1 in june. What are yalls thoughts?

You should go. All pregnancies are different. You might (hopefully not though!) have problems with this pregnancy even though you haven’t with others.

I would go. Plus dating scans are more accurate the earlier they are done. If you wait your due date could be pretty off

I would definitely go for the dating scan just to make sure baby is even in your uterus. It could be life threatening for you if baby isn’t in the right spot. You can skip the NT scan at 12wks. And then I would definitely go to the 20wk scan. If everything is good then you’ll just have those 2 ultrasounds. They aren’t harmful in any way so just go for your safety and baby’s safety!

I would go, my mom had two super easy pregnancies and then with me she was extremely high risk and all kinds of things went wrong and I had taken early by emergency c section

I would go. Every pregnancy is different even in the same woman. You don't want to regret not going and finding out later that you really really should have

My doctors office sees everyone at 6 weeks then ultrasound at 8 weeks and so on. I imagine they will still want to see you.

So at my drs office does  the first visit at 12 weeks and then again at 16 and 20. Both appointments give me my ultrasounds. Then at 24 weeks I get bloodwork done for diabetes tests and at 28 weeks we go every 2 weeks. These can be important so they can monitor your babies growth by measuring your abdomen. At 30 weeks, if you desire it, they schedule you another ultrasound. And at 35 weeks they do your gbs tests. Since I'm a csection, at 37 weeks I get all my pre op stuff and 38 weeks is so busy, uts incredible. So for me about 3-4 visits are semi useless. You can request to go longer between visits if you are healthy. But most of them are beneficial. Hope this helps.

U shpuld see a doctor they are so spaced out in the beginning not like there taken much time. And each pregnancy is different just cuz never had a high risk doesnt mean u eouldnt know. Waitint that long u never know if something could be wrong with the baby and they could fix it. Dont chance it
