Any teachers?

I'm 6 weeks deep into my pregnancy, just about to start up another school year at the local high school...tips for survival??! 😂

I am a first grade teacher and got pregnant in January and was doing IVF from September until then. So overall a super hormonal year!!! I brought two bags of food with me every day. One was my lunch. And one was a bag of a variety of snacks that I carried with me everywhere! I brought things like apples, peanut butter, sour jolly ranchers, and whatever else was currently helping with my nausea. If you dont have a sink in your room then I suppose keep wipes or hand sanitizer with you so that you can always get rid of the germs and eat if needed. I also made sure I brought a giant water bottle in case i wasn’t able to get away and fill up a smaller one. Or bring two if that’s the case. Also I hope you have a bathroom close. I had one in my room and it was gross but i always used it. Hmm I don’t know what else but I wore leggings and a long shirt almost every day 😂 I don’t know if high schools let you wear that but it was so necessary when I was just bloated and not yet showing.

I’m in the same boat, I’m 6 weeks and I’m a 10th grade sped teacher. Thank god I get a little extra flexibility being a sped teacher, and there will only be a few weeks until 2nd trimester where it gets a little less terrible. I actually was due in April with my daughter as well and it wasn’t too bad, the harder part was closer to my due date when it was hard to walk around!

Use your breaks to eat a snack and to drink water. And you may need to rest a bit! Find a comfy chair 😃

I teach first grade and last time I got pregnant in November  it’s exhausting lol but I just went to bed super early every night haha
