Idk what’s going on I got off the nexplanon in January my periods were completely fine and now I get periods every other week now and they aren’t light periods either they are heavy constant periods. I’ve tried to make an appointment but I don’t want to wait 2-3 months to see a specialist.

In a month’s space between July-August 2018, I bled constantly on and off, just skipping a day or two in between bleeding. So for an entire month I bled. I went to see my doctor at the end of August and they checked my levels and gave me a transvaginal since I was told I had cysts a year before that in August of 2017.  
The doctor found no cysts, my hormones were completely balanced and there was really no explanation for the bleeding. However, I knew it must’ve been the cysts shrinking and getting rid of the blood inside of them or something of the sort.

Answer

Yes, it’s your body trying to return back to normal, because it’s no longer receiving hormones that was in that birth control.
