Period or pregnant ?

Supposed to start my period day... saw some very light spotting around lunchtime and that’s it. Just took a pregnancy test and it was negative. But, I took an ovulation test just cause and it was up as compared to the last one I took. It was only .2 but it had been .11 only a few days ago. I usually go way down to about .07 during my period. I’ve seen where ovulation tests can catch HCG... am I just being weird and overthinking or do I possibly have a case here?
