When did you start taking baby out in public more? We have been very good about not taking our 2 month old to many public places, and I’m ready to get out more. When did you start taking baby out more?

We take our little boy everywhere. Parties, dinner, vacation 🤷‍♀️ to each his own in guess.

I wouldn’t bring my babe out (other than doctors appointments) till after 1 month. And now he still doesn’t go out much... the grocery store once a week or so and that’s about it. But my husband and I don’t go out much (we’re home bodies) so we’re not like trying to keep him in.

I'm breast feeding so She's had to come everywhere with me from birth. She was 5 days old when we first went out (just to Argos to buy a shelf). We go shopping once or twice a week and breastfeeding group on Mondays. She's also been to the zoo, aquarium and to a huge shopping mall. I do have a baby carrier though and keep her close so people aren't touching at her. But that's less about germs and more about not wanting to stop every 5 mins while people look at her.

Definitely waiting till 3 months. I absolutely will not risk my child being sick because I wanna go somewhere. The only place we have been is to the dr because well obviously he has to go.

We started going out to restaurants at 4 weeks. My husband didn’t understand that I was still recovering from a C section but I’m glad we did it because it forced me to get air, see people and avoid postpartum blues. The challenge was breastfeeding in public. I wasn’t quite comfortable yet. Today she’s 10 weeks happy and healthy. I would say as long as you’re comfortable with yourself and taking care of a newborn in public.

Two weeks after he was born via CS was our first outing. We went to brunch with friends. We asked that if anyone was sick to please not hold him, to wash their hands (or hand sanitizer) before holding him, also no face or hand kissing baby. He is now 7w and has been out a bunch.

Right away. It was unavoidable, really. I have two older children that need to get out. But I have avoided really large crowds, like the waterpark or the fair.

Coffee runs. Grocery store. Park. That sort of short trips. Subway twice now. Once for dr appt and her first party at a bar yesterday. Always in carrier so no one can get too close or touch her. We have driven also to both of our families houses for long visits.

We’ve been on lock down and won’t really start taking her places until a couple weeks after her two month shots. I’ve done a few grocery store runs out of necessity, but I went on off hours when not as crowded.
