Young long distance

I’m 18 and my bf is 20 I live in Hawaii and he lives in Georgia I used to live in the same city as him but my family is military. We met through social media and decided to have an long distance relationship I never met him before but ik he is real bec we ft & stuff. But I wanted to get some tips on how to handle a LD relationship mainly the trust part. I trust him he hasn’t showed me anything or done anything for me not too but I just feel like I’m just waiting for something to happen. Thank you in advance
