Why do my nails break so easily????🤦🏼‍♀️🥵

So I don’t know if this happens to anyone else by my nails break with everything I do! I can have nice long beautiful nails and then one will break and then they will all start breaking. Also I am in dire need of a pedicure but my big toe nails are always cracking and ripping to the point of it being painful. One just cracked a few days ago and it’s so far down the nail that if it gets caught on my sheet or anything it will hurt. I don’t want to go in to get my nails done and they try to pull it off or accidentally pull it back. How do I keep them from breaking or ripping too short???
