When can I test? Should I drink?

My husband & I just started ttc after being together for 13 years! Do you think a pregnancy test will be accurate on Aug 30? We are going out of town that day & I'd love to know before going on the trip. Also, there will probably be alcohol during the trip - do you think I would be OK to drink during the trip or should I avoid it just in case I am pregnant but it's too early to tell?

Your baby goes through some very important growth before you know your pregnant, I would suggest avoiding alcohol all together in that TWW

Well clearly everyone has a different opinion on the alcohol side of things and there are of course different schools of thought. I would personally not drink until I was positive it was a negative. I had a positive at 8dpo but for lots of women it’s after the missed period. Sometimes well after. I’m in agreement with the other poster that the beginning is really important, so I wouldn’t chance it.

You could potentially get a positive by the 30th, but unlikely.
And you should be fine to drink even if you are preggo at that point.

Highly unlikely to get a positive at 9 dpo. Worth trying! I got mine at 11 or 12 dpo. I’d have a drink but not get wasted!

You could possibly get a positive on the 30th but could still be to early. Also yes you can drink, drink till it’s pink.

If you think you could be pregnant, why would you risk anything by drinking anyways? Personally, I wouldn't-and didn't when ttc.
