I had my daughter through emergency C-section last August. It was extremely traumatic. I went in for a stress test and the baby failed one of the parts of the test so they admitted me into the hospital and I was leaking fluid a little bit I told them that I noticed and they did the test and it said that my water may have started to break or leak so they started Pitocin immediately and within a few hours I was at the highest dose and still only 1 cm dilated. They kept me on the max for hours and the following morning they put in the Foley bulb to induce labor which did nothing really. I think it brought me to 3 cm. I was in a teaching hospital they switched shifts so I always have different doctors and they all recommended different things so no one followed through with any ideas. After four days of being in labor they finally broke my water and still nothing happened and the babies heart rate started to drop so I went in for a C-section but not before getting an epidural which failed so I had to be put under. My daughter stopped breathing twice during delivery and no one told me until days later I read the paperwork. I’m only 8 weeks but I’d like to do a vbac but I’m terrified of any delivery option. I need some information and help deciding what to do. Hopefully from someone who has been in my shoes and had a vbac after traumatic c section. I also feel like I missed out on my daughter’s birth because I didn’t get to see her until hours later
