Is herpes bad?

I recently found out that I have the sti herpes, am I the only one?? I feel so bad ... Is herpes considered disgusting

There is about 45 million people nation wide who have the virus. So its very common , don't think you are the ONLY one who's going through it. One of my loved ones recently found out they have it. And honestly it didn't change how I feel about em. I still love them and see them the same exact way. And yes , there are people that think its gross and disgusting. But what they don't understand is that for one, its a pretty common virus and two, it doesn't change who YOU are. Just because you have it , doesn't mean you ARE it. Remember that. You are just as beautiful as every one of us and don't ever think "this is the end" because no its not "bad".

I have it but nothing to do with sex or whatever I get outbreaks on my lip ( the fever blister  and it's just a tiny bump nothing gross or big ) because my body gets hot flashes, sometimes I don't drink enough water and on weird occasions i get them before I get my period . But it's been years I mean years since I've gotten one because I've been taking really good care of myself , I'm working out a lot more , my intake of water has increased. But is it gross? no , is it uncomfortable? Fk yes lol but it's natural the outbreak doesn't last more than a week .

There are many people born with it - like me - and it's nothing all that bad. I get cold sores, about one every 6 months or so. I was told that as long as I don't kiss or well, give a blow job with an open sore it would be fine and they would be fine too. Many people carry the gene but never show symptoms, like my brother and sister. I am the lucky one, I guess.

Don't stress about it though - just be safe :)
