Midwife?

Question

Can the midwife really tell if I’m going to deliver early or not? I just had my 34 week appointment and she mentioned that baby is very low and was noted low last appointment too, she said because she’s low and I’ve been getting more discharge and lightning crotch that I will most likely deliver early? Can they really tell just by that?

But my midwife told me I was breach at 34 weeks and baby arrived suddenly - not breach- two weeks later

It's a 50/50 chance so nobody can actually predict by just that. My little girl was very low down since 31 weeks, the discharge i was getting was ridiculous in the amount, started losing my mucus plug at 32 weeks and every doctor said I would likely have her before I even reach 38 weeks.
She came at 40+4 just over 2 weeks ago.

Possibly... it’s a chance but not always right. My friend was told that from like 30 weeks and still went a week over even with 3 sweeps. Midwife was adamant she would be early. Told me I’d probs be late as daughter wasn’t that low and I was three days early 🤷🏽‍♀️

Maybe... although the was the opposite for me - my midwives thought I’d be late. Even after my waters broke I was booked in for an induction that night as it was my first so the midwife thought it might take some time for my labour to establish. I gave birth at 39+2, 11 hours in total and I was back at hospital fully dilated a couple of hours after my examination to check my waters.
