Just odd

So a little bit of a back story, my husband and I decided to start ttc recently, my periods are pretty regular overall and I can tell usually when I ovulate. I was about a week and a half late for AF this cycle and took tons of home tests (that I thought looked positive) and even had blood tests done to confirm my hcg levels, twice. normally they are at zero or maybe a one at most when not pregnant, but this time it was at a 3, and 2 days later it was still at a 3. My doctor told me that my oviarian cysts could have caused the positive on the home test (she looked at my home tests and confirmed they looked positive), and said just to wait for AF to come. Fast forward and AF showed up worse than it ever has. Much heavier and much more painful than normal, and a total of 2 weeks late. Now I'm on day 4 of my cycle and I went to wipe and had almost like stretchy blood. Like the discharge that happens during ovulation, but with blood. I have never experienced anything like this before. Never been late, and never had this kind of discharge during AF. Anyone have any ideas? I'm at a loss as to what my body is doing rn.
