ANTENAL PUMPING ?

Currently 35+1 & my doctor said it was my decision on what I wanted to do .. currently been giving it a shot and so far saved up quit a bit of colostrum for when she gets here but I’ve gotten a lot of bad reviews just curious if any other moms pumped before giving birth & did it cause problems?

I pumped at 39 and a half weeks and I went into labor. The contractions started about 10 to 15 minutes into pumping.

My sister pumped at 39w and went into labor that same day.

I have but my midwife told me to wait until 37 weeks as it can cause preterm labour

I tried the other day, only did 5 minutes on each side but nothing came out. Made me quite worried!i think the end piece is too big so I’m going to order a smaller one but hoping everything is ok!

I’ve heard a lot of hearsay but most of the midwives I’ve spoken to say it is unusual to go into labour from it. That said I’ll be manually expressing antenatally rather than my electric pump.
