Do you refer to your pets as your kids?

Like “I gotta go home for to feed/walk/take care of the kids” or whatever. My bf and I always say it. Cause they basically are our kids

I mean i dont use kids but i say my babies. My mom calls them my children though haha

I call them kids, like "okay kids let's go inside!". But when I talk to people about them I just call them dogs. 🤷‍♀️

Ever since my dad moved in with us while his apartment is being renovated when my husband and I come home from going out I ask my dad how the kids were. He loves being a dog grandpa. ♥️

Animals aren't humans drives me insane when people refer them as there son or daughter. Fur babies? Yes I have 1 and we love him dearly hes apart of the family. But we don't say there our children. I can somewhat see "why" people call them like there children if they can't have a child? But my neighbor has 4 children and 3 dogs and a cat and she calls the pets her children and allows them to eat at the table in chairs with them or jump in the bath with the children and buckles them in a dog carseat in the car. Everyone is different though

He's my baby, and probably always will be. He's the only constant thing that I have been able to take care of, provide for, and love unconditionally while dealing with infertility for 5 years. So yeah. For right now he's as close to a child as I'm going to get and is referred to as such.
