Stroller & car seat (or travel systems?)

Question

I’m so stuck on making a decision over what we want on our registry. Car seats (as a part of a travel system) seem like they’ll only last a couple of years (if!) and I really don’t like disposability culture. But I love the versatility of a travel system, especially if we can keep the kid asleep from one place to another. Transfers from car seat to stroller to car seat with each trip seems daunting but maybe I’m just overthinking it? What do you all think? What do you know and what decisions have you come to on what you need?

With my first we did chicco key fit 30 car seat with a chicco car seat caddy instead of the full travel system stroller. Around age 5 months we started using an umbrella stroller (summer infant 3D lite). I just disliked how heavy the travel system stroller was, I never would have got it in and out of the car myself.

We did a travel system with our first and I plan to do it again especially with a winter baby. It was easier getting him ready in the house, click and go once we got to the car. He fit in that car seat for a while, it really depends on how your baby grows. Our 2 almost 3yo still fits in the stroller and now we're using it again for our daughter. If you plan on more than one I'd say you'll get your money's worth

I also had a super hard time choosing- ended up registering for the baby jogger city mini and the key fit 30 infant car seat and then instead of another base We got the Graco 4-in-1 adjustable car seat that goes into a booster.  This way we have one car seat for easy moving in and out but another one we can use for years.

I am doing travel system. I have 2 toddlers and it’ll be way easier getting all three in and out of the car and grocery shopping it’ll be way easier also since my second still sits in the seat of the cart. I’ll upgrade to a regular car seat around 1 year like I did with my first 2

We have a graco travel system (the click connect specifically). Got it with our first. He was in the infant seat for about a year and height and weight wise he could have stayed in it longer but it was too heavy for me to carry around so it was easier to just move him to a convertible car seat at that point. But loved that it could just click right into the stroller and we could go. He’s 2 now and we still use the stroller. I actually just purchased a click connect double stroller so that way I can put the infant seat (going to reuse the one from our son) right into the stroller and also put my son in there too.

Travel systems are nice but wish I would have bought something smaller and lighter...lol. Will be using the same system I used with my last baby.

We have two vehicles. So for my car we are doing the travel system. For my hubby’s car (our big family SUV) we are not. We want to baby wear as much as possible. We figure with both us in a vehicle, one of us can definitely wear or carry her. For me alone, there may be a few times I need the convenience of the travel system. :)

I picked a travel system (im having baby #1 so i have no prior experience in picking & buying strollers). We hope to move to a house by the time baby outgrows his car seat (so that we can store it) & then have baby #2 to reuse the car seat.
