Boyfriend doesn't try to have sex with me

My boyfriend and I have been together for 2 years, we are both 18, at the start of the relationship in the first couple of months our sex life was great. But for the past year and even more recently he never initiates sex and we never do anything sexual. We don't really even kiss passionately. We cuddle a lot and I know he loves me.
