Advice?! Take a test or no....

I need some advice whether to take a pregnancy test or just count it as my period? My boyfriend and I have been trying. From Sunday to Tuesday the time that my period was supposed to start I experienced the lightest period I’ve ever had. It was a light pink then was hardly anything the next couple days then I just didn’t waste anymore tampons. Haven’t bleed since. I don’t want to take a test & be disappointed or waste the money but this is abnormal to me as well. My periods are always normal and on time. Should I take a take a test?
