Is it supposed to be like this?

I’ve been with my boyfriend for 3 years, we just bought a house together 2 months ago and my relationship with him has become so hard for me to maintain. He’s so hard for me to understand and be patient with. I love him so much and I want to it work as much as he does but at times I find myself just so tired wondering if it’s supposed to be this way. He is a loyal and good man but we can’t seem to find a way to meet each others needs. Are all relationships this hard?

I’d say that all relationships get hard sometimes because it’s hard work making a relationship work day in and day out. However, it’s been three years and it’s still feeling too hard, then maybe you should do some thinking and decide whether this relationship is what you want. Sometimes you have to break up with someone you love when you know it’s not going to work. You didn’t give me a whole lot of context, but have you tried to communicate with your partner? Or, if you’re already sure that this isn’t what you want, I’d say end the relationship and start over.
