Transitioning out of sleep sack- what does your baby sleep in?

I want to transition my 8 month old out of his sleep sack and into pjs, but I don’t know what he should wear for daytime naps. I feel like he would be cold in just a onesie, should I put pants on him? Socks? I don’t want to change him into pjs for every nap. What do people do?

Why do you want to transition? They are the best thing, I have found up to 18 months old or when they are old enough to pull their own covers back on. At 8 months a sleep sack is perfect.

I use a sleep sack until about a year old and than allow a blanket.

Depends on the temperature in your house. Also by 8 months we were using blankets, especially for naps cause I could keep my eye on him

Thanks everyone! Maybe I will just keep him in the sleep sack... We were wanting to transition just because he’s outgrowing the ones we have and we figured might as well just switch to pjs. But very good point that until he can have a blanket it’s a great alternative. So maybe I’ll just buy bigger sleep sacks!
