Appologies if i sound really dumb :/

So this is my first month using opks

Last week I was getting a faint line which appeared to be getting darker (never dark enough to indicate lh surge) .. Thing is dh and I then went away for a last minute weekend and I was gutted that I forgot to pack my opks.. Not really having much clue I thought its ok ill test Monday morning, ever since the line has completely dissapeared

Have I missed ovulation (which was predicted yesterday) or do the lh levels go up n down throughout your cycle?
