Do you let your baby cry when you need to get something done?

My baby is 2 months old and crying because he needs to go to sleep, but I need to get ready for work. Do you let your baby cry, or just not shower??

I had to learn it from my husband that it was okay to let her cry but if I’ve fed her and she’s burped and changed and I need to shower or pee or basic hygiene I let her cry a bit. In order to feel myself I need to get dressed and stuff

I try not to let them cry but I have twins so its impossible to not let one cry sometimes.

I think to each their own my son is almost two months old and for me it’s way too young to let him cry it out. They’re crying for a reason and it’s our job to figure out why and to soothe them.

I don’t let him cry for more than a few minutes, like in the morning he can cry until I make his bottle because it only takes me two minutes. But other than that I think at this point he is crying because he needs something, not just for the sake of crying. I’ve also found that if he’s crying before falling asleep it’s because he needs to burp or something so it’s not just going to resolve itself by letting him scream

I try not to let her cry however. Sometimes dinner needs to be made. I've got 5 other people to worry about too so as long as shes not crying because shes hungry I let her cry if I'm in the middle of something, but shes gets so worked up I feel bad 😭

I don’t know how anyone can say they haven’t. I don’t for more than a few minutes but this girls got to eat pee and shower once in awhile. Thankfully baby is able to entertain herself more these days.

I don't let cry if it is a real cry. I change position...put in a swing, put on music, put on light or at the window to look outside, play some sensory videos name it all. And usually it gets me the 10 minutes to finish up stuff. Also try to keep stuff simple. Won't go cooking an extravagant meal with a two month old yet I can have a meal made in 30 minutes.  But if baby wants to sleep, I don't let him cry, I help him sleep. Usually mine will be asleep within 10 minutes which surely I can spare and that buys me time to do more things with a sleeping baby. Another thing that helps him sleep faster is a quick shower. I literally put him in water. And out. Dry him n he is ready to sleep. It works always. Better spare the time to bath him than waste 30 minutes trying to get him asleep. If he ain't sleeping because of so much stimulation, I quiet the place up n cut his visual space.  In short. Too many tricks to help my baby calm or sleep. Letting cry out is the last resort. A mad baby is harder to settle. My opinion.

If she’s fighting sleep, yes I’ll let her cry. That’s about the only time. If she starts REALLY crying, though, I’ll go check on her.

I have only this last week have started letting my Lo cry a bit like 5or 10 minutes max when I know his fed and changed my lo cries for attention as he hates being put down even to sleep sleeps on mummah so when I need to go toilet or do a few things I let him cry sometimes I let him cry to see if he will stop because I’ve found that if he doesn’t see me or my husband he will stop crying and start staring at his toys on his swing
