How old is too old to be a dental assistant?

Or does it really even matter? I will be becoming a dental assistant by next year and I know people like to down talk dental assistants.
 I also do plan on getting my degree as a dental Hygienist but idk how soon yet.

Girl your never too old. I became a dental assistant & actually wasn’t able to find a job in that so of course since I love the dental field I’ll be going for a hygienist & I’m about to be 29. I don’t care if I was 39, it’s something you wanna do... Do it! there is no age limit on anything ♥️

It's never too old. If you're older, people will take you more seriously than younger no matter your job title. My mom was a dental assistant for 12 years. If any of the complaints she had about it, being talked down to was never on the list.

I’ve been working at a dental office for a few months now - we just opened and all of us are new to the field. The other gals that are training to become dental assistants are in the 40’s! Nothing wrong - you are never too old to do something you want to do. 
Any who talks bad about dental assistants? It’s a very important job that not everybody can do.
