I have heard pros and cons to all sides. Drivers side: they'll get hit from an oncoming car, middle: they'll go through the windshield, passenger side: they're less protected because the driver always subconsciously protects their side first. 🤷‍♀️ Knowing all that, I chose the passenger side because I can get her out easier not being in the middle and I can see her easier when I look back or look in the mirror.

I would never put my child in the middle seat if I didn't have to. I always feel vulnerable in the middle myself and would put an infant on the passenger side to safely get it in/out of the car without standing in the road. It also makes it easier to quickly look at your child if you have one of those mirrors.

Like the others are saying. It’s best to check the manual I had planned on putting my son’s car seat in the middle but the manual said not to install in the middle.

Wherever it will fit. Middle is the best, however, in my old car it would only fit on the passenger side. If it went in the middle I would have been sitting with the steering wheel in my chest.
