Is my 7 month old eating too much?

Before i explain, i KNOW a baby cant eat "too much". Theyre growing, duh. Anyway.... My son eats 2 to 3 jars of baby food AT EVERY MEAL! With a 4 to 6 oz bottle! So, hes eating 6-8 jars (24-32 oz) of solids PLUS approx 18 oz of milk a day!!! Hes 19.4 lbs.

Does he spit or throw up after? If he does, he’s definitely getting too much, if not, he’s probably fine,  but I would definitely bring it up with your pediatrician & see what they think. It does seem like a lot of food for such a little guy

For what it is worth,  at 7 months, my son ate 36 ounces of pumped breastmilk and maybe a pouch or two of organic baby food a day.  It seems like your son should be getting more calories from breastmilk/formula, rather than "solids."  I would review his eating/ drinking with your pediatrician.

A baby can actually eat too much which causes vomiting,spit up, and discomfort. So yes, they can eat too much and they can become overweight. If you’re concerned, speak to his pediatrician.

His weight doesn’t seem bad my daughter weighs 17 pounds and she’s only 3 months

My son eats even more then that. He's now 8 months and 25 lbs. I don't know where he puts it all. It may be time to make something home made that would be more filling.

Boys typically eats more than girls do. My son eats a lot so we switched to normal food instead of the puree food. Try adding rice cereal to the jar foods.
