Cervical Position

Hi, I've done some research over the past few weeks and I have a question. When reading about your "peak" everything I've read suggests you'll be SHOW. I don't think I've ready one yet that says it may vary. According to Glow, my peak was yesterday. Yesterday and the day before I had a lot of "egg white" CM but when I checked my cervix, I was high, open, wet but not soft. I was just wondering is the soft thing a definite across the board when you ovulate? I have been feeling for about 3 months now and have yet to encounter it soft so I'm just wondering if maybe something is wrong bc nothing I've read said that it varys. Seems like they all say it should definitely be SHOW or you aren't at your peak. My other app says next week is my fertile week so idk. Maybe I haven't been fertile yet this month. I was just curious on everyone else's experiences. Thanks :)
