Period with Positive Pregnancy Test?! UPDATE:

Saree • Married in 2017, Military Spouse: 1st Baby born after 4yrs of infertility!

So I have quite an irregular period to begin with. I started my period on the 13th of August and it “ended” on the 18th. Then I started bleeding again from the 20th-25th a dry blood/brown discharge. To me it seemed like a lot since I had to wear a tampon throughout the day.

Well on Monday the 26th I randomly decided to take a pregnancy test since I’m addicted to them lol.

I took it on a cheapie and could see a vvvvvvvfl, I decided to take another, but on a First Response. The top test is Monday nights.

I couldn’t freakin believe it I was shaking, so I waited until the morning to test again and got the lighter positive.

I ended up going to an ER since the military base’s clinic was packed.

We live in South Korea so the language barrier at hospitals are always so stressful.

They gave me a urine test on Tuesday and said it was negative, then sent me to meet with the OBGYN who did the vaginal ultrasound. He flat out told me your not pregnant and the urine test said not pregnant. I showed the nurse my test results and she said my uterine lining is too thin to support a baby so I either went through a miscarriage or I’m going to.

They sent me back to the ER to get bloodwork done. My result came back with HCG 48.9. They pretty much said miscarriage was the diagnosis since my levels are so low. I went home later that night to take another pregnancy test on a cheapie to see a BFP! I feel like there may be a chance. I did bloodwork again yesterday, the 27th, and I’m waiting for those results. I’m hoping they go up. Has anyone else gotten a positive test right after coming off a period?

UPDATE:

Tuesday (8/27)HCG: 48.91

Wednesday(8/28) HCG: 58.49

Monday(9/2) HCG: 84.5

As of right now I am still considered at risk of miscarriage since the numbers aren’t increasing as fast, but I’m holding holding on to my hope. I don’t have any cramping or bleeding. Just extreme fatigue! I literally fall asleep around 8:30pm every night and feel like I could nap all day. My next appointment is with the OBGYN on 9/17. I feel like that’s so far away, so I’m going to see if I can schedule another blood test.

Fingers crossed it goes up!
