Going crazy

I am stuck between a rock and a hard place. I have a kitten and a puppy from my previous relationship. My kitty was in the streets following a near miss and I had the means to care for her so I did. My puppy belonged to my mom and sister but they treated the puppy as if it was just going to take care of itself. Terribly treated so I took the puppy or else it would’ve kept happening. I don’t feel I have the mental capacity at this moment to take care or animals and a 2 year old especially with no help. I’m not wanting to just give them away they are family. I just don’t know what to do. Since my breakup I have no extra money and my ex just wanted to dump them outside. Ughh
