When does everyone start taking ovulation tests?

Last month the app had my ovulation right but I’m worried that I might miss my ovulation if I wait til the app says... is it right for everyone else? I know I should be doing it every other day anyway but just curious.

No the app only predicts. I wouldn’t depend on it. Better to use opk’s.

Glow was usually off by 3-4 days for me. Fertility friend would get a closer guess but was usually still wrong. For us every other day was not an option so I used opks. The day you start using them is different for everyone based off of how long your cycles usually are but most start around day 10.

I took an ovulation test a few days before the app said I was supposed to ovulate... and thank god. Because I ovulated the day I took a test (gut feeling to take one) and then I took one today and I already ovulated.

No I wouldn’t trust the app with that. It’s just an algorithm, it doesn’t know your body. It’s probably right for people with very predictable, “normal” average cycles. There’s guidelines regarding when to start using OPKs based on your cycle length. The instructions should be included in the pack, or I’m sure you can find them online
