Pink spitting after exam

So I had gotten a pelvic/cervix exam after having some mild cramping at nearly 24 weeks. Everything was fine and he said my cervix was very thick and closed. It was very painful and he said I would have some bleeding. I had very light brown discharge for about 24 hours...hardly anything after and then when I went to the bathroom this evening, it was pink. Of course I’m freaking out because I thought all was well and then was shocked to see spotting on the toilet paper...
