When did you get your period back?

Question

When did you get your period back after exclusively breast feeding? Was it extra light or extra heavy?
I’m three months postpartum and from my Fitbit, it looks like my resting heart rate fluctuating based on a monthly cycle like before I got pregnant. I haven’t had a period yet. My doctor said I could use exclusive breast feeding as birth control for 6 months, but I’m still a little nervous.

I breastfed my daughter and my period came back regular after pp bleeding stopped. Do not use breastfeeding as a form of birth control. You can definitely get pregnant. We weren’t exactly trying but we weren’t preventing bc we knew wanted more kids. It took 6 years, 2 losses and fertility meds to have our daughter so we didn’t know how long it would take. She’s now 15 months old and I’m 40+2 right now 😊

Came back at 12months pp. Pretty much exactly how it has always been. 
It's really not advised at all to use breastfeeding as birth control!

Breastfeeding definitely isn't birth control... You can get pregnant while breastfeeding...

Mine returned exactly at 8 months postpartum, down to the date. The first 2 months were heavier than what I’m accustomed to, with cramps out of this world. I had to change my tampon every 2-3 hours 😖. I almost wanted to call my OBGYN. The third month I switched to the menstrual cup & noticed a significantly lighter flow. Hopefully it’s regulating because it was atrocious.

I EBF and my first period was 5 weeks pp than 3 months and now I am currently on my third period since having my baby at 6 months pp. 
My first period was so heavy
Second was light and not very painful 
And this one isnt super heavy but soo painful..

Mine came back just shy of 6 months pp. Since then it's heavier than it used to be but not terrible. 
Also, breastfeeding is definitely NOT a form of birth control. My midwives and all the hospital nurses strongly shoved that down my throat multiple times, haha!

Wow! That’s super surprising!!!! I would definitely not use ebf as birth control. I’m ebf and got my period at like 7 weeks pp, got it again two weeks later, and haven’t got it again....I’m now 14 weeks pp. Neither were too heavy, but my first one lasted a lot longer than my pre pregnancy periods.

5 months pp. Started purees at 4 months and LO still fed every hour during the day then every 4-5 at night.
