Google/Internet as a source
At the brunch table today figured that my fiance's family members frown upon using Google/Internet as a source for research. As a new mom I'm trying to inform myself a lot on baby development topics and Postpartum. There's a lot of interesting information that even the older generation isn't aware of or weren't educated especially hormonal issue and updated research in cognitive development in children. So they pretty much laughed that my source was Google.
I don't see this as a problem, we used the internet like msn.com, askjeeves, google etc in college for our research as well as books and it was accepted.
Do you think the internet is equivalent to books or are books are more reliable as a source?
