Fur moms i need help 😫

So i rescued my babygirl from a family who didn't want her because her original owner had died. (Families Grandmother) they gave her to me with all her paper work and told me to was spayed. When she got her period i was confused but after speaking to a vet her words were "if she was spayed after her first period she may contuine to have spotting every now and again" she's a vet so i took her word. All my life I've had male dogs so i know nothing about dealing with a female dog, so i started seeing changes in my babygirl and i took her in to see another doctor and my babygirl is Pregnant!!! I also found out she blind her one eye 🤦‍♀️. I'm excited, upset, happy, frustrated. I've always neutered my dogs cause i hate seeing all the puppies in the shelter or in bad homes and being sold to people who may not take care of them. The vets charging me an arm and a leg to bring her in to give birth so I'm looking for some advice if you guys know anything about helping a dog give birth I'm all ears.
