Anyone else just not have a filter anymore?
A lady at work would NOT stop talking about all the negative things she went through in labor (long, horrible) and how awful babies are afterwards! She asked me what I'm having, and when I told her a girl she said she has a girl and they are terrible (kind of sad, actually). Her 19 year-old daughter has boy drama, and she hates when she tries to talk to her about it. They may seem cute but are little terrors, etc.
I cut her off mid-negativity (I think she was about to talk about all the tearing) and said, "I am NOT dealing with this shit right now. I'm surrounding myself in positivity only." I then got up and changed seats to a place across the room!
I'm trying to remain positive even though my body feels like crap. I keep returning to the thought that I am grateful that I am able to get pregnant and keep this baby to full term.
How are you all handling the negative Nancys who always have to say something?!
