FTMs: How much time are you and SO giving yourself before allowing visitors (family included)?
I'm due early December and we've told family not to expect us for Christmas. Figure we can use a couple weeks (at minimum) to get into a routine and I can get comfortable nursing and pumping, and my husband and I can get used to existing on little to no sleep.
(On a different note, my OB recommended I, my husband, and anyone planning to see our baby frequently get the DPT (whooping cough) and flu shot. If anyone isn't comfortable with these they will have to wait to visit, no exceptions. I know people say they get the flu after getting the shot, but the chance of risking our baby's life far outweighs the chance of getting sick once from a vaccine.)
